Krystie Niver, DDS
If you ask Dr. Krystie Niver why she went into dentistry, she’ll happily tell you, “It’s more of a relationship thing than a ‘teeth’ thing.” Of course Dr. Niver is an expert in “teeth,” but the relationships she creates with patients are what really motivate her. “I love the idea of becoming involved with families, watching children grow up, and hearing about exciting milestones like weddings, sweet-sixteens and graduations. And, in addition to all that, I love helping people!”
Dr. Niver has extensive experience in both pediatric and adult dentistry, as well as cosmetic dentistry. She has enjoyed many years of volunteer work providing dental services to diverse underserved communities from Los Angeles, CA to Barrow, Alaska. No matter whom she’s serving, though, Dr. Niver explains, “I try very hard to treat people exactly the way I would like to be treated. My patients often say that I am very approachable and down to earth.” Dr. Niver takes pride in being honest with patients and strives to make patients feel comfortable.

When Dr. Niver isn’t helping patients, she enjoys exploring all there is to do in Hampton Roads with her husband and young daughter. An avid boater, she holds one license that you probably won’t find listed on the bios of many other dentists. That’s because Dr. Niver is a licensed Merchant Marine Captain! During summers off from school, Dr. Niver spent time in Long Island working as a Captain of large ships! Now that she lives here in Hampton Roads, she’s looking forward to exploring the Chesapeake Bay by water. In her spare time, she also enjoys trying new local restaurants, visiting museums, and hiking with her family.
